My parent's 25th wedding anniversary was on April 5th. As if 25 years wasn't enough to celebrate, they found out that morning my Dad is officially in remission. He has - they have - battled and beat cancer for the 2nd time in their marriage. They are an incredible example of love, partnership, friendship & faith.

I don't think a lot of words are necessary: It was a good, happy day. The best kind of day.

My parents are pretty great, and I think the fact that I truly feel that way while still living with them 2 years post college is a true testament.

Dorky? Yup, but I love them lots. So happy this scary cancer chapter is over. And while it'll be 2 years of frequents check-ups to make sure the cancer doesn't come back, I'm pretty sure we've paid our dues for awhile & there's lots of goodness ahead!

My brother, sister & I gave my parents a long weekend get-away to Lanesboro this June. After the past year, they definitely deserve some time away!
